ADDENDUM: THESE ARE CIRCA 1920'S GLOVES NOT 1930.
Pair of 1920's Wilson boxing gloves fight worn by Al McCoy who held the Middleweight Boxing Championship from 1914 through 1917. He was the first left handed fighter to win a World Championship. McCoy's career record was 99 wins 40 losses and 18 draws. He is a member of the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. Wilson gloves display very heavy use but still have laces. Right glove has "AL MC COY" stamped in dark black on top.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from the Helms Athletic Foundation/LA84 Collection.
