Ann Meyers-Drysdale is simply one of the best female basketball players in history. A graduate of Sonora High School in La Habra California she was the first high school player ever to be named to the U.S. Women's National Basketball Team in 1974. She was also the first female athlete ever to earn a four-year scholarship to UCLA and the first four-time All-American in her sport. A supremely talented all-around player with natural basketball ability and instincts she was the first player - male or female - named to Kodak's All-America team in four straight seasons. She also played on the first women's Olympic basketball team in 1976 helping the squad earn a silver medal in Montreal. After an All-America career she became the first woman player drafted by the Women's Basketball League (WBL) and made history by becoming the first woman player to try out with an NBA team the Indiana Pacers. Another first achieved by Meyers was her induction as a female player into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on May 10 1993.

On that memorable evening in Springfield Massachusetts Meyers-Drysdale was awarded this beautifully designed Hall of Fame induction plaque that includes a silver-and-black head-and-shoulders portraiture of her smiling that's positioned above raised silver lettering that reads: "ANN MEYERS Elected as a PLAYER Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame May 10 1993." The specially presented plaque sits on a black felt background inside a wooden frame that measures 12" wide by 15.5" high.

LOA from Ann Meyers Drysdale.
