What can be more exciting than a pinch-hit walk-off home run? This Type 1 photo captures the explosive excitement of the Brooklyn Dodgers as George Shuba crosses the plate after blasting a bottom-of-the-ninth game-winner against the Pirates at Ebbets Field. All the Boys of Summer have charged out of the dugout to greet Shuba at home plate, including Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Pee Wee Reese, Gil Hodges, Andy Pafko, and Joe Black. The Type 1 photo features crisp detail and clean borders. The reverse has the original caption slug affixed along with the United Press credit stamp. The photograph has been encapsulated and graded a Type 1 by PSA/DNA.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method. Prior to bidding, please be aware of estimated shipping costs, especially for large or heavy lots.
