1953 Brooklyn Dodgers "Starting 9" Original Photo with Jackie, Campy, Snider, Hodges & Reese – PSA/DNA Type 1 The 1953 edition of the Brooklyn Dodgers may have been the greatest of all their 1950s lineups. The eight position players featured no less than five future Hall of Famers. Despite this explosive offence, the team’s weakness was its pitching, as evidenced by their heartbreaking loss to the Yankees in the World Series. This Type 1 photo captures the starting lineup of Jim Gilliam, Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snider, Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Gil Hodges, Carl Erskine, Billy Cox, and pitcher Carl Erskine, posing confidently on the steps of the Ebbets Field dugout on the eve of the first game of the World Series. The Type 1 photo has beautiful clarity and contrast. The reverse has the original caption slug and a PSA/DNA hologram affixed. The photograph has been encapsulated and graded a Type 1 by PSA/DNA.

Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
