On June 14 2002 Cincinnati Reds third baseman ended the teams game against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates with a solo walk off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning off of Bucks pitcher Mike Williams for a 4-3 win. This lot features the Reds vest-style sleeveless home pinstriped jersey that Boone was wearing in the game. Showing obvious signs of game usage and what appears to be spilled coffee stains across the front the jersey is sporting the proper "Russell Athletic" manufacturers label on the left front tail and below that is the 100% Polyester size "46 tag. Positioned on the jerseys left front side is the Reds team logo flanked on the right side by Boones uniform number 17. Both the logo and uniform number are red on white/black tackle twill. This 2002 jersey is original and unaltered but displays no game wear. The back of the jersey sports his uniform number 17 and his last name BOONE just above it in red on white/black tackle twill. Boone has signed the back of the jersey in black fie point marker and inscribed it: Walk-off Home run (3*5 2 HRs) vs. Pittsburgh off Mike Williams.
