This 2025 New York Mets "City Connect" jersey was game-worn by Pete Alonso across six home games—highlighted by career home run number 250 on August 2nd, a milestone that cements Alonso as one of the premier power hitters of his generation. MLB Authentication serial PX921917 provides exact game-by-game documentation of the six games (July 20-22, August 2, Aug. 16 & Aug. 30). The "Polar Bear" became the franchise's all-time home run king on August 12th when he blasted number 253, surpassing Darryl Strawberry's 252 dingers as a Met. For the 2025 season, big Pete led the NL in doubles (41) while batting a career-best .272 with 38 HR and 126 RBI.
The speckled gray pinstriped 'City Connect' jersey features "NYC" across the front. The jersey has the appropriate Nike MLB Authentic Collection tagging with an additional MLB Auth. tag below. The back of the jersey has "ALONSO" and his number "20" in black and white trim. A black number "7" patch above the Mets crest on the right sleeve honors the late Ed Kranepool, the franchise's all-time leader in games played and part of the famous '69 "Miracle Mets". He passed away in September of 2024.
