Among the most significant Pete Alonso game-used items we've come across is this 2025 New York Mets "City Connect" batting helmet used by the "Polar Bear" in five home games during which he hit four home runs, including number 250 of his decorated career on August 2nd against the San Francisco Giants.
MLB Authentication serial PX736026 provides exact game-by-game documentation of the five games (April 5, April 19, July 5, August 2 & September 20). On July 5th against the Yankees at Citi Field, Alonso blasted two homers and drove in five runs in a 12-6 romping of the Mets' cross-town rivals. Over those five games, he went 7-for-19 with four homers, three doubles, six runs, and ten RBI.
In 2025, big Pete became the franchise's all-time home run king when he blasted number 253 on August 12th, surpassing Darryl Strawberry's 252 dingers as a Met. For the season, Alonso led the National League in doubles (41) while batting a career-best .272 with 38 HR and 126 RBI.
The snazzy "City Connect" design with the Queensboro Bridge across the front of the shell gives this helmet tremendous aesthetic appeal as a distinctive Mets collectible. Manufactured by Rawlings, it is properly tagged on the interior with size "7-3/8" embossed in gold and a "MRHB" decal sticker. The MLB Auth. cert sticker is also affixed within the roof. The charcoal gray helmet has a classic "NY" Mets logo on the forehead, a left ear flap for the right-handed hitting slugger, and Pete's No. "20" with the MLB logo on the reverse.
