Stefanos Tsitsipas is currently the #12 ranked men's tennis player in the world. The 25-year-old from Greece has been ranked as high as #3 in the world and has 10 ATP Tour singles titles in his career. He finished runner-up at both the 2021 French Open and 2023 Australian Open, losing both times to Novak Djokovic in the finals. Featured here is his match-worn and autographed Adidas shirt from the 2021 French Open attributed to the Final against Djoker. Adept on all court surfaces, Tsitsipas made an incredible run at Roland Garros, knocking off second seed Medvedev in the Quarterfinals and sixth seed Zverev in the Semifinals to face the #1 seeded Serbian legend in the Finals. And the aggressive baseliner gave Novak all he could handle, winning the first two sets before falling short in a five-set thriller (6-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4).
The all-white shirt with a crew neck collar has the Adidas logo on the left chest, with the German brand’s Primeblue model label on the rear neck. Properly tagged within the collar (size L) with a production tag that reads “11/20” (Nov. 2020), it shows evidence of match and wash wear, according to Sports Investors Authentication, with some loose threads and faint remnants of staining. Stefanos has signed the front in black marker.
Tsitsipas wore this same style shirt throughout the 2021 French Open tournament. Our consignor, who knows Djokovic personally, procured this shirt right after the Final directly from Stefanos, and was told it was from the last match he played. Due to the plain design of the shirt, we did not submit this for photo-matching as the success rate would be slim to none. A nice match-worn tennis item to own from one of Europe's top players. Includes full paperwork from SIA. Autograph certified by PSA/DNA (sticker on wash instructions).
