With 20 major titles, Roger Federer trails both Rafael Nadal (22) and Novak Djokovic (24) as the most decorated Grand Slam singles champion ever. And by the time Djoker calls it a career, the gap will likely grow wider. But if you ask a true tennis connoisseur who is the greatest men’s player of all time, Roger usually gets the nod. Subjectively, in a gentleman’s sport that values style and etiquette so highly, Federer has embodied the pure ideology of a true tennis professional better than anyone. Before his first major victory in 2003 until well beyond his last in 2018, the smooth stroke, crisp movement, and precision of Fed’s game, both on and off the court, put the Swiss legend in a class by himself.

Featured here is Roger Federer’s match used and double-signed Wilson racquet from the 2007 ATP season. For the second straight year, the Swiss maestro won three of the four grand slams (Aussie, Wimbledon & U.S. Open), losing only to Nadal in the French Open Final. He held the world’s top ranking for the entire year.

Loyal to the Wilson brand his entire career, Federer transitioned to a 90 square-inch head in 2003. He debuted the K Factor Six One Tour 90 racquet in early 2007 and used this same model through 2011. This KSix-One Tour 90 is red, white and black with silver accents. The handle is wrapped with white grip tape now stained with sweat. The black plastic butt-cap has a red and white Wilson logo. The inner throat provides spec info such as the 16x19 string pattern, headsize, and weight (12 oz. / 340 g). The rim is emblazoned with Wilson make and model branding. There is a red "Roger Federer" facsimile autograph on the outer throat. Roger has added two real signatures in black marker on the lower rim and the upper grip.

According to our consignor’s source – a member of Roger’s inner circle – Fed used this racquet later in the 2007 season, most likely at either the Madrid Masters (October 15-21) or during Davis Cup play (Switzerland played Czech Republic in the World Group playoffs Sept. 21-23). The “SUN 22.0” sticker on the inner throat indicates that it was string at 22 kg of tension for a Sunday match. (Fed played Nalbandian on Sunday, Oct. 21 in the Madrid Masters Final.) The racquet shows a ton of use, with scrapes on the outer rim, heavy wear on the grip, and four broken vertical strings (his preferred natural gut material is not durable). Includes LOA from Sports Investors Authentication for its specs and match use. Both signatures are certified by PSA/DNA (sticker on upper handle).
