Nice set of Carlos Correa's 2016 practice-worn turf shoes and game-worn batting gloves. The reigning 2015 American League Rookie of the Year wore this stylish pair of navy blue orange and white canvas shoes during batting and infield practice early this season. They are each autographed and inscribed “Pre-game 2016” in 7-8/10 silver marker. The front toes are stamped “DERRICK” (left shoe) and “ROSE” (right shoe). The D.Rose Adidas gear logo is emblazoned at the heels with Correa’s No. “1” hand-written in black. His nickname “SHOWRREA” appears at the base of the laces. Apparently the shoe is a D.Rose / Showrrea fusion. Astros team colors are represented with the laces heel tabs and a crisscross strap design all in orange. The original insoles are present and stamped “mi.” The size 12 internal tagging indicates a “1/16” manufacturing date. While not built like your standard modern-day athletic footwear the turf shoes display ample practice use on the bottoms and exterior.
The white and navy Adidas ‘EQT’ batting gloves come in size XL and are each signed and inscribed with his number "1" and "G/U 2016" in 8/10 black marker on the wrist undersides. Plenty of dirt and sweat staining is apparent. Both sets comes directly from Correa himself. The 6’4” 215 lb. Correa whose physical presence and natural talent is reminiscent of a young A-Rod is on pace for another great season as Houston chases their second straight playoff berth.
