Anthony Davis can do it all on the basketball court and is having another monster campaign for the New Orleans Pelicans. The 6' 10" star has become Coach Calipari's most impressive "one-and-done" prodigy since entering the NBA six seasons ago. A 10” growth spurt in high school gave Davis guard-like skills in a frontcourt body. With a wingspan of 7 1/2 feet and shooting ability approaching the likes of Kevin Durant the sky is the limit for the former #1 overall pick who led his Kentucky Wildcats to the 2012 National Championship. Offered here is a pair of AD's 2016-17 game-worn and dual-signed Nike sneakers when he averaged a career-high 28 points and 11.8 rebounds per contest. Also during that season Davis earned NBA All-Star Game MVP honors after putting up an ASG record 52 points.
The Nike Air Max Audacity PE sneakers come in Davis' massive size 17. This bright red and navy colorway was most likely worn prior to the All-Star break according to our photo research. The high-top and easy-breathing design carries a navy rubber patch on each tongue with "Anthony Davis" his jersey number "23" "CHI/IL" and his patented "Fear The Brow" motto. Inside the tongues is "RIP" on one and "BDJ" on the other paying tribute to former teammate Bryce Dejean-Jones who was tragically killed in May 2016. On the interior Nike tagging is the appropriate "PROMO 20160923" and "SEASON H016" coding. The sneakers show appropriate court usage with all elements intact and as-issued. According to our consignor these were sourced from Miami Heat reserve forward Udonis Haslem.
We could not find any AD gamers sold before at public auction so here's a tremendous opportunity to grab a pair before the 24-year-old becomes MVP of the league. And that time could be this season. Davis is currently the NBA's second leading scorer (28.1 ppg) and has been on a tear ever since DeMarcus Cousins went down leading the Pellies to a 10-game win streak to put them in 4th place in the Western Conference.
