In 2012 the Alabama Crimson Tide football team finished the season with a 13-1 overall record and their second straight National Championship. After beating Georgia in the SEC title game 32-28 the Tide rolled over the Fightin’ Irish of Notre Dame 42-14 in the BCS Championship Game. Coached by Nick Saban Alabama was well on its way to establishing itself as a college football dynasty.

This lot features former Alabama linebacker Xzavier Dickson’s player ring commemorating the Tide’s 2012 National Championship. The size 9 1/2 ring (50g) most likely made of Celestrium showcases a host of gemstones throughout the center including a large “A” for Alabama that’s also decorated in gemstones. A total of 34 red gemstones circle the entire perimeter of the ring’s surface with the words “NATIONAL CHAMPIONS” circling the ring in raised lettering right below the red gemstones. One shank reads “CRIMSON TIDE 42-14 ALABAMA NOTRE DAME 13-1” with a symbolic call out below that text reading “CRIMSON TIDE BACK TO BACK NATIONAL CHAMPIONS 2012.” The other shank reads “DICKSON” “47” (his uniform number) and “LB” for his position. This is all set against a backdrop showing Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium. The inside band is engraved with the following phrase: “Carry The Water Til it Turns To Wine.” Maker "Herff Jones" is also engraved inside. Exhibits NM-MT quality.

Xzavier Dickson appeared in 39 games for Alabama in his four years. As a sophomore in 2012 when he earned this ring he played in all 14 games and recorded 33 tackles and 3.5 sacks. As a senior he logged at least a 1/2 sack in five straight games and finished the year with 9 sacks and 42 tackles (12 1/2 for a loss). Dickson was the New England Patriots 7th round draft pick in 2015.
