This lot presents a game-worn pair of Marc Gasol's Nike Zoom Hyperdunk sneakers from his 2011-12 season with the Memphis Grizzlies. The 7'1" center out of Spain younger brother of Pau has been the model of consistency in his eight NBA seasons averaging 14.3 points 7.8 rebounds 3.1 assists and 1.5 blocks earning him two All-Star appearances - one in the year he sported these kicks on the hardcourt. They come in size 17 with white baby blue and black Memphis-themed colors displaying solid game use with stretching and heel drag. "HYPERDUNK" is stamped on the tongues with "FLYWIRE" on the inner ankle exterior. The original blue laces are present but the insoles have been removed most likely for custom orthotics that many NBA players prefer to use. Appropriate Nike tagging is found on the interior with "SEASON H011" and "PROMO SAMPLE" denoting player-issued status for the 2011-12 season. Gasol has signed the outer ankles of both shoes in 8/10 black marker with his No. "33" inscribed. They come with excellent provenance from the personal collection of former NBA assistant coach Henry Bibby who coached for the Memphis Grizzlies 2009-2013.
