Shaquille O'Neal earned 15 All-Star appearances and won four NBA titles during his sensational career. He was named NBA Finals MVP each time the L.A. Lakers won the title during their epic 2000-2002 three-peat and got his last ring in Miami alongside Dwyane Wade in 2006. His final three seasons were spent with Phoenix Cleveland and Boston. This offered pair of Shaquille O’Neal’s game-worn sneakers hails from the big man’s 2008-09 season with the Phoenix Suns. He averaged 17.8 points and 8.4 rebounds that year leading the NBA in field goal percentage at 61% and making his final All-Star team.
These high-top Dunkman 'Gametime' signature model sneakers come mostly in white with Suns-themed orange designs on the exterior. There is no interior tagging present or size indicated; they appear to come in his monster size 22. “SHAQ” appears vertically on the tongues and again on the heel pull tab. The Dunkman logo (a silhouette of Shaq dunking) is found on the outer ankles lower heels insoles and outsoles. His Suns uniform number “32” appears at the base of the laces at the base of the rubber toes and on the outsoles. The original insoles and white laces are present. The shoes display moderate game wear with evident heel drag and interior sweating. Shaq has signed the outer toes of each sneaker in 8/10 black marker with his No. "32" inscribed.
The Dunkman brand is one of Shaq’s many entrepreneurial business ventures he oversaw during the course of his playing days something he continues to do now while he moonlights as a TNT analyst with Chuck Kenny and Ernie. “The Big Aristotle” will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame next month in Springfield.
