Shaquille O'Neal earned 15 All-Star appearances and won four NBA titles during his sensational career. He was named NBA Finals MVP each time the L.A. Lakers won the title during their epic 2000-2002 three-peat and got his last ring in Miami in 2006. This offered Shaquille O’Neal’s 2004-05 game-worn and signed sneaker hails from the big man’s first season with the Miami Heat. He averaged 22.9 points and 10.4 boards that year leading the NBA in field goal percentage at 60%. He would taste victory champagne alongside Dwyane Wade the following season.
This single (left) Dunkman signature model sneaker comes in black with Heat-themed red designs on the exterior. There is no interior tagging present or size indicated. It appears to be his monster size 22. “SHAQ” appears vertically on the tongue and the outer heel tab as well as horizontally on the bottom of the outer red midsole panel. The Dunkman logo (a silhouette of Shaq dunking) is found on the outer ankle lower heel and outsole. His Heat uniform number “32” appears at the base of the laces and at the bottom of the heel with a larger version on the rubber outsole in yellow and red. The original black laces are present but the insole is missing. The shoe displays appropriate use with evident interior sock sweating. Shaq has signed the outer ankle in 6/10 silver marker with his No. “32” inscribed.
The Dunkman brand is one of Shaq’s many entrepreneurial business ventures he oversaw during the course of his playing days something he continues to do now while he moonlights as a TNT analyst with Chuck Kenny and Ernie. “The Big Aristotle” will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame next month in Springfield.
