Presented is a match-worn Liverpool FC Premier League home jersey from the 2008/09 season worn by Spanish striker Fernando Torres, accompanied by a MEARS Letter of Authenticity from the Oscar Collection.
The short-sleeve jersey is constructed in adidas Formotion lightweight performance fabric in Liverpool's iconic all-red colorway. The jersey features a V-neck collar with a red and white check interior lining — a nod to the historic "This Is Anfield" sign — and white adidas three-stripe detailing along the shoulders. The left chest carries the adidas logo alongside the embroidered Liverpool FC crest with its iconic Liver Bird design, and Barclays Premier League patches appear on both sleeves.
The Carlsberg sponsor appears prominently in white across the chest. The reverse displays the applied name "TORRES" above the bold "#9" numeral in white, with the Premier League lion watermark integrated into the number — a detail specific to authentic player-issue jerseys. The jersey shows clear evidence of match use including fabric stress and general wear.
Torres wore this style during his celebrated 2008/09 season with the Reds, when he scored 22 Premier League goals. He remains one of the most beloved strikers in Liverpool's modern history. MEARS LOA confirms match-worn status.
The Oscar Bernardi Collection
This shirt comes from the personal collection of José Oscar Bernardi, better known as Oscar, who played for the Brazil National Team from 1977 to 1986. Included is a letter of provenance signed by Oscar. Most jerseys in the collection were obtained directly through player swaps after competition. Others were acquired via gifts or trade with footballers in Oscar’s wide network of teammates and friends. At age 71, he still resides in Brazil and is ready for his collection to be appreciated by others in the hobby.
