Offered here is a match-worn AC Milan Serie A home jersey from the 2002/03 season worn by Brazilian legend Rivaldo, presented with a MEARS Letter of Authenticity and sourced directly from the Oscar Collection. The short-sleeve jersey is constructed in adidas Climacool mesh fabric in the classic rossoneri red and black vertical stripe pattern.
The jersey features a V-neck collar, black raglan-style sleeves with adidas three-stripe detailing in red on the shoulders, and the adidas Trefoil logo on the chest alongside the AC Milan crest with its single gold star above. The front center displays the Opel automotive sponsor in white lettering, standard for Milan kits of this era. The Lega Calcio patch appears on the right sleeve and an additional sponsor patch on the left, consistent with contemporary Serie A match jerseys.
The reverse carries the applied name "RIVALDO" above the "#11" numeral in white perforated lettering on the red stripes. The jersey shows evidence of genuine match wear including fabric stress, imprinting on the sleeves from contact with other shirts, and light soiling.
Rivaldo joined Milan in 2002 following his FIFA World Cup triumph with Brazil and his iconic performances at Korea/Japan 2002, where he won the Golden Ball award. MEARS LOA confirms match-worn authenticity.
The Oscar Bernardi Collection
This shirt comes from the personal collection of José Oscar Bernardi, better known as Oscar, who played for the Brazil National Team from 1977 to 1986. Included is a letter of provenance signed by Oscar. Most jerseys in the collection were obtained directly through player swaps after competition. Others were acquired via gifts or trade with footballers in Oscar’s wide network of teammates and friends. At age 71, he still resides in Brazil and is ready for his collection to be appreciated by others in the hobby.
