Offered here is a nice Ken Griffey Jr. Cincinnati Reds game worn alternate jersey from the 2005 season. It was a nice year for Junior as the sweet-swinging slugger hit 35 homers and drive in 92 in just 128 games for his hometown team. It was also the only year he batted over .300 in a Reds uniform. The red knit jersey features the Reds logo on the left breast and displays his No. 30 (same as his father wore with Reds) on the right chest and reverse. His name appears arched across the back. All letters and numerals are done in tri-color tackle twill (white/red/black). The team patch appears on the left sleeve. Located on the left front tail are the Majestic tagging size 48 and +2” Body flag tags and a stitched label reading “Property of the Cincinnati Reds 2005”. Original and unaltered the jersey displays light wear.
Includes letter from MEARS with A5 grade. [Note: no post-1987 jersey can achieve a higher grade than A5 without additional provenance.]
