What a treat this game-worn jersey/sneaker combo is of the great Yao Ming from the 2004-05 season! The #1 overall pick overall in the 2002 NBA draft Yao was an All-Star Center in every season of his 8-year career with the Houston Rockets one that came to an early end due to ailing foot and ankle injuries. During that span he averaged 19 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. In 2004-05 he scored 18.3 points with 8.4 boards and 2 blocks each time out. Born in Shanghai Yao is still one of China's best known and favorite athletes ever.
The home white Rockets #11 jersey shows moderate wear with some stretching in the V-neck from Yao's 7'6" 310-lb. frame. The left front shirttail includes the stitched Reebok manufacturers logo and the following three flag tags: Size '54'; '2004-05'; and +6 LENGTH. The Nike Air size 18 right-foot sneaker with black tongue and orange Swoosh logo comes as-issued with all elements completely intact. Yao has signed the right side in Chinese in black 8/10 marker.
Jersey has MEARS sticker #302730 and comes with a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
