Presented is a signed and inscribed 1992 USMNT match-worn home jersey from an August 2, 1992 friendly against Brazil, worn and personally signed by American midfielder Hugo Perez. The short-sleeve jersey is constructed in adidas white polyester, featuring a bold diagonal red and blue stripe across the upper left chest and shoulder — the iconic design of the early USMNT "US World Cup Team" jersey — and an adidas logo on the chest alongside the bold graphic.

The jersey carries the adidas multi-flag label at the collar indicating its international tournament production. The front displays a blue "#7" numeral below the stripe. The reverse carries a heavily worn blue "#7" numeral showing substantial distress and breaking of the applied graphic, consistent with intensive match use and laundering. The jersey is signed in dark marker by Perez with a heartfelt Spanish inscription to Oscar reading "Para Oscar, de su amigo — Hugo #7 — Dios o bendiga a su familia" (To Oscar, from his friend — Hugo #7 — May God bless your family).

Perez, a Salvadoran-American, was one of the most technically gifted players in early USMNT history. This piece is unique as both a match-worn artifact and a personally inscribed gift from one international player to another. From the Oscar Collection.

The Oscar Bernardi Collection

This shirt comes from the personal collection of José Oscar Bernardi, better known as Oscar, who played for the Brazil National Team from 1977 to 1986. Included is a letter of provenance signed by Oscar. Most jerseys in the collection were obtained directly through player swaps after competition. Others were acquired via gifts or trade with footballers in Oscar’s wide network of teammates and friends. At age 71, he still resides in Brazil and is ready for his collection to be appreciated by others in the hobby.
