Michael Moorer is one of only four men (the others being Muhammad Ali Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis) to win one or more versions of the world heavyweight championship on three separate occasions as well as being a former world light-heavyweight champion. This lot includes a pair of Moorers fight-worn boxing trunks that he wore for a fight on Dec. 1 2001 versus Terrance Lewis at the Lucky Star Casino in Concho Oklahoma. The scheduled 10-round bout saw Moorer score a technical knockout over Lewis in the second round. The victory pushed Moorers record at the time to 41-2. The gold satin shorts show minimal usage and include his last name MOORER across the front of the waistband in red lettering with blur stitching as well as the name KRONK across the left front thigh and his initials (MM) across the right thigh in blue lettering with red stitching. As Moorers amateur career progressed during his teenage years he relocated to Detroit and began training with Emanuel Steward at the Kronk Gym.
