LeBron James is currently the face of the NBA. The three-time league champion (twice in Miami once in Cleveland) four-time league MVP and 14-time NBA All-Star was a superstar for St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School in Akron Ohio who went straight to the NBA right out of high school. He also was named the state of Ohio’s “Mr. Basketball” award winner for three straight years (2001 to ’03) and has certainly gone on to greater heights during his incredible professional career.
Offered here is LeBron’s 2002-03 St. Vincent-St. Mary’s game-worn uniform from his senior season in high school a campaign in which he averaged 31.6 points per outing and led the Fighting Irish to the Ohio State High School title. The official green mesh jersey includes the “ON SPORTS” manufacturer’s tag on the left front tail (size “XXL”) with washing instructions included. It reads “IRISH” arched across the chest screen-printed in yellow outlined in white and includes the “Irish Man” logo screen-printed in black white and gold on the base of the V-neck collar. The left chest area features an American flag ribbon embroidered in red white and blue. On the front as well as the back is his player number “23” screen-printed in yellow and outlined in white. The jersey shows moderate wear. The accompanying green mesh “Fighting Irish” shorts show moderate wear and include the “Always On” manufacturer’s tag (size XXL) with washing instructions reflected on the opposite side. Trimmed in yellow and white the shorts feature the school’s Fighting Irish logo on both sides.
Included with this lot are two St. Vincent-St. Mary’s High School “Fighting Irish” National Champions t-shirts along with four copies of the school’s “Winter Sports” yearbooks two copies from the 2001-02 campaign and two copies from LeBron’s senior campaign (2002-03).
LOA from Ohio sports marketing rep who worked closely with SVSM. His broad knowledge of the basketball merchandise allowed him to confirm the authenticity of this jersey as being an official game jersey and not a replica version.
