Basketball Hall of Famer Reggie Miller played his entire 18-year NBA career with the Indiana Pacers. A shooting guard with pinpoint accuracy the 6’ 7” Miller averaged 18.2 points per game. The five-time NBA All-Star turned it on in postseason play by averaging 20.2 points per outing and helped the Pacers advance all the way to the NBA Finals in 1999-00 before bowing to the L.A. Lakers in six games. When he retired following the 2004-05 campaign Miller held the NBA record for most career three-pointers and is currently second on the list behind only former sharpshooter Ray Allen. During the 1997-98 season Miller played in 81 regular-season games and averaged 19.5 points per night.
This lot features Miller’s 1997-98 autographed and game worn Indiana Pacers road jersey. The navy blue mesh pullover with gold pinstripes features "INDIANA" across the chest in gold-on-white tackle twill and Miller's uniform number "31" just below it in like fashion. A Champion manufacturer’s label [size 44] complete with washing instructions appears on the left front tail with a Champion 1997-98 Indiana Pacers exclusivity tag ("Body Length +3") positioned to its left. The left interior side seam bears a white flap tag noting “100% POLYESTER” fabric detail. His arched last name on back – “MILLER” – appears in gold-on-white tackle twill. Overall the jersey demonstrates light wear with minimal fraying of any of the stitching on the tackle twill elements front and back. Miller signed the back of the jersey on the number “1” in black fiber-tip marker and added “#31” underneath his scrawl. The jersey remains in good condition throughout and is an important piece of game-worn memorabilia from one of the league’s truly clutch three-point artists who always stepped up his game when it counted the most. The official embroidered NBA logo appears on the left shoulder. This jersey has received a perfect A10 grade from MEARS.
