Paul Konerko started his career in 1997 by recording seven at-bats with the Dodgersbut played 16 of his 18 seasons with the White Sox. He ended an excellent major-league career with 439 home runs 1412 RBI and nine stolen bases while playing 2349 games. Konerko helped the White Sox win the 2005 World Series the franchise's first since 1917. Drafted by the Dodgers in the 1st round in 1994 Konerko was traded to the Reds during the '98 season before joining his beloved White Sox the year after. From Konerkos 55 games played in L.A. in 1997-98 comes his Louisville Slugger T141 professional model 34" 32 oz. bat. shows evidence of solid game use with several ball marks and ball stitch impressions visible on the front and left barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs visible on the black finished bat. Cleat marks are visible on the back barrel. There is a moderate coat of Mota stick on the handle. Konerkos rookie number 66 is written on the knob in silver marker. Konerkos bold signature appears on the barrel in silver.
