Paul Konerko started his career in 1997 by recording seven at-bats with the Dodgers but played 16 of his 18 seasons with the White Sox. He ends an excellent major-league career with 439 home runs 1412 RBI and nine stolen bases while playing 2349 games. Konerko helped the White Sox win the 2005 World Series the franchise's first since 1917. From 2006 to 2014 he served as the White Sox captain.
From the 2013 season this 34 inch 31.7 ounce Marucci model DF12-M Paul Konerko professional model bat shows evidence of moderate use with a handle crack. Several ball stitch impressions are visible on the front and left barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Konerko" s number (14) is stamped on the knob as is the bats production date 2/21/13 and weight and length notations. A Paul Konerko signature is written on the front barrel in silver pen. The MLB Auth. hologram on the barrel (HZ090528) indicates the bat was signed at a February 2014 signing session.
Provenance: The bat is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Chicago White Sox Charities.
