Switch-hitting stud, Chipper Jones, helped lead the Atlanta Braves to three pennants and the 1995 World Series Championship in his 19 seasons with the club. Along the way, the star third baseman earned the 1999 NL MVP, the 2008 NL Batting Title, and eight All-Star nods. This bat dates from the 1996-97 era in which Chipper batted a combined .302 with 51 homers and 221 RBI, leading the Braves to two AL East crowns and the National League pennant.
The Louisville Slugger 'R161' pro model shows outstanding game use and is un-cracked. All sides of the barrel show ball marks with scuffs and stitch impressions. Cleat marks are present on the back barrel and a moderate coat of pine tar is found on the handle. Both ends have Chipper’s number “10” in silver marker. The Hall of Famer has signed the barrel with his full name, “Larry Wayne Jones, Jr.” and “Game Used” in silver marker. Includes LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA with a perfect GU 10 grade. Autograph certified by PSA/DNA.
