In tribute to the NBA’s 50th Anniversary in 1996 the 1996-97 Los Angeles Lakers sported this throwback style jersey from its Minneapolis and early L.A. playing days for some its road games. This lot features formerguard Byron Scott’s game-worn 1996-97 throwback road jersey marking his final season in the league. The nylon blue mesh jersey which the Lakers sported five times that season reads “Los Angeles” in script across the front in white tackle twill outlined in light blue with some slight fraying of the letters showing. Scott’s uniform number “4” appears below the city name also in white tackle twill outlined in light blue. The official NBA logo embroidered in gold appears on the left shoulder. Proper Champion manufacturer’s tagging (size 46) appears on the front left tail alongside a special “NBA 50” tag that reads “DESIGNED & TAILORED EXCLUSIVELY FOR NBA 50TH ANNIVERSARY 1996-1997.” The back of the jersey includes “SCOTT” across the shoulders and his uniform number “4” in like tackle twill fashion. The jersey exhibits light use.
