Six-time NBA Champion and six-time NBA Finals MVP Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls remains in a class by himself. Though his last title occurred in 1998 the retired MJ remains first and foremost in most basketball followers’ minds when discussions turn to determining who is the greatest player in league history. This lot features a pair of game worn Chicago Bulls home shorts from the team’s 1995-96 championship season that are attributed to Jordan. During that campaign His Airness played in all 82 regular season games and averaged a league-best 30.4 points per outing. The white and red shorts (size 36) include a pair of sewn-in Champion manufacturer’s tags on the inside rear waist area. The first is the Champion "Designed and Tailored 95-96 Exclusively for Chicago Bulls RISE +2 INSEAM +2" tag. Alongside that is the Champion manufacturer’s size 38 tag complete with washing instructions. Jordan’s uniform number “23” has been written onto the latter tag in black marker. The original white draw string remains intact.
