Basketball Hall of Famer Sheryl Swoopes was the first player to be signed in the WNBA is a three-time WNBA MVP and was named one of the league's Top 15 Players of All Time at the 2011 WNBA All-Star Game. Swoopes was recruited for the Houston Comets of the WNBA during the 1997 inaugural season and returned only six weeks after giving birth to her son to play the last third of the WNBA inaugural season and lead the Comets to the 1997 WNBA Championship. Offered here is Swoopes’ 1997 Houston Rockets WNBA Inaugural Championship 14K gold ring. Measuring to size 7.5 it showcases a nice scattering of real diamonds on the top while the proper "14K INTERGOLD" stamp is in the band's interior. Exhibiting NM-MT quality it reads "SWOOPES and “22”" on one shank and "WE GOT NEXT" and the WNBA logo on the other.
