Offered is a signed Seattle Mariners cap game-worn by Ken Griffey Jr. "The Kid" electrified the city and the American League with his debut in Seattle in 1989 quickly becoming the most exciting player in baseball and by the time he left for Cincinnati 11 years later his Cooperstown ticket had already been punched. With 630 career home runs 13 All-Star appearances and 10 Gold Gloves Junior captivated audiences everywhere with his high majestic home runs and athletic elegance in center field. This attractive cap traces its roots to his 1994 season an abysmal strike-shortened monstrosity that was brightened up a bit by Griffeys heroics socking 40 home runs and driving in 90 runs in only 111 games. The cap has the Mariners S at the front in white Northwest green and silver tackle twill. The MLB embroidered logo is at the back and New Era and Diamond Collection tags are at the inside of the sweatband along with Size 7 1/8 tagging nearby. Griffeys famed No. 24 is handwritten in marker under the brim and the soon-to-be-enshrined Hall of Famer (next year!) has signed in silver marker on the outside of the brim. The interior shows signs of sweat staining and stretching.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Ken Griffey Jr. which means you guessed it another Griffey autograph. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
