An extraordinary piece of Brazilian football history, this is an official 1994 FIFA World Cup Champions Mini Trophy presented by the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) to Romário, accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the Romário family. The gold-toned resin replica faithfully reproduces the iconic FIFA World Cup Trophy design—two human figures with outstretched arms supporting the Earth—mounted on a stepped black plastic base.
The collar at the base of the sculpture is engraved "FIFA World Cup." A worn brass-toned plaque on the base bears "1994" in handwritten script, consistent with the tournament year. The reverse of the base shows some paint loss, and the gold plating on the trophy body shows expected wear, rubbing, and loss consistent with over three decades of age.
Brazil's 1994 World Cup triumph in Pasadena, California ended a 24-year championship drought for the Seleção, with Romário serving as the tournament's dominant offensive force and earning the Golden Ball as best player. This trophy, presented directly to one of football's greatest strikers by Brazil's football federation itself, represents perhaps the most significant item a collector of Brazilian football history could acquire.
