Ronaldo Luìs Nazàrio de Lima, or simply Ronaldo, is widely considered the greatest pure #9 striker in history. The longtime Brazil National Team star (1994-2011) nicknamed “O Fenômeno” (The Phenomenon) and “R9” twice won the coveted Ballon d’Or (1997 & 2002) and earned FIFA World Player of the Year honors three times, His storied tenures with PSV Eindhoven, FC Barcelona, Inter Milan and Real Madrid (“Galácticos”) on the club side cemented his status among the all-time greats. The clinical finisher remains Brazil's second all-time leading scorer behind Pelé with 62 goals in 98 caps. In a career full of highlights, Ronaldo's finest hour came in the 2002 FIFA World Cup Final against Germany when his second half brace led Brazil to a 2-0 victory and a record fifth world title.
Offered here is a special Ronaldo match worn and signed jersey from his 1993 professional debut season with Cruzeiro Esporte Clube of Campeonato Série A (Brazil's top flight league). Called up at just 16 years of age, Ronaldo made an immediate impact, scoring 20 goals in 21 matches (including five in one game) and leading Cruzeiro to its first ever Copa do Brasil title. In two seasons, he tallied 44 goals in 47 matches before leaving South America to begin his dominant club run in Europe.
The blue collared Cruzeiro jersey has the logos of sponsors Coca-Cola and Finta (Brazil kit manufacturer) with five stars all in white on the front. His jersey uniform number "9” appears on the reverse with another Coca-Cola logo above. Inside the collar is the Finta label and a white hang tag with the size indicator worn off. The shirt displays very heavy wear with sweat staining and still carries an unwashed aroma. The screened-on number and logos have faded a bit, but Ronaldo's nice silver penned autograph on the back remains strong.

Letters of Authenticity from MEARS for the jersey and PSA/DNA for the autograph. Letter of provenance from the son of Brazil's longtime kitman ("Barreto").
