Featured here is Tim Cheveldae's custom-made Detroit Red Wings goalie mask game-worn during the 1993-94 season. From 1989-1994 "Chevy" compiled a respectable record of 128-91 as predominantly the Wings' starting goaltender. It is a Gary Warwick design as indicated by the artist's inscription on the right interior: "CUSTOM MADE FOR TIM CHEVELDAE DETROIT RED WINGS BY GARY. E WARWICK '93". The red black and white design with Red Wings on each side and a checkered flag on top makes for an interesting exterior paint job. The artist has added "CHEVY" to the rear plate below the elastic straps one of which has his number "32" in black pen. The full cage painted in white and original chinstrap stamped "T.C. 32" are completely intact. All interior fiber padding and cloth straps are intact as well. A customized towel padding has been added to the forehead attached with Velcro. Sweat stains inside along with scratches and white paint transfers on the exterior are indicative of the excellent wear and game use this mask exhibits. Despite all that the paint job remains beautifully well-preserved. What an incredible offering for Red Wings fans and hockey collectors alike!

Includes a letter of provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
