This is one of Pudge’s 1991 rookie-year bats. That season, 19-year-old Rodriguez hit .264 for Texas, becoming the youngest player in franchise history to hit a home run. Though just a rookie, Pudge placed first in the AL in throwing out runners, foiling 48.6 percent of would-be stealers. The Hall of Famer’s rookie Adirondack 484B model bat is un-cracked and shows outstanding use. The barrel is covered with ball marks, stitch impressions, and ink transfers. Red and blue bat rack paint streaks are found on the barrel, and a light coat of pine tar is found on the handle. The model, order number, and date are stamped into the knob end. The weight "31 1/2" and "Rodriguez" are written on the knob in blue ink, along with his number “7” in black ink. Rodriguez has signed the barrel in bold black marker. The bat comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat a perfect GU 10.
