Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer and three-time NBA Champion and three-time league MVP Larry Bird was voted to the NBA’s 50th Anniversary All-Time Team and is still one of the top superstars to have emerged from the modern era. Nearly 25 years after retirement he remains a fan favorite and is beloved in two distinct regions of the country: Indiana and Boston.

This lot features Bird’s Boston Celtics game-worn road jersey from the 1991-92 season his final campaign with the team in which he played just 45 games but still managed to average 20.2 points per game. On the front left tail is a “Champion” size “46” manufacturer’s tag complete with washing instructions. Adjacent to that is another tag that reads “YEAR 1991” and “BODY LENGTH +3.” On the left inseam is a tag that reads “100% NYLON.” On the front left chest is the official embroidered “NBA” logo. Across the chest reads “CELTICS” and his uniform number “33” appears on both the front and on the back. Across the back reads his last name “BIRD.” All numbering and lettering are done in the same white tackle twill sewn directly onto the green mesh jersey. This jersey is properly tagged and shows light use.
