Offered here is a pair of Earvin “Magic” Johnson’s 1990-91 Converse "Triple-Double" game-worn and dual-signed sneakers gifted to a longtime celebrity agent. The model name Converse gave these shoes was fitting for Magic as he almost averaged a triple-double during the 1990-91 season with 19.4 points 12.5 assists and 7.0 rebounds per game (see Getty 56811958 for style-match). It would be Magic's last full season in the NBA as he was diagnosed with HIV during the off-season forcing the Laker legend into an early retirement that he would only briefly return from in 1996.

The white and purple Converse mid-high tops have deteriorating soles as many shoes do from this era due to the lack of durability in the cushioning material used. The pair shows appropriate wear on the leather exterior and each shoe is equipped with a gray cushiony orthotic padding custom-fitted to Magic’s foot size. The white laces appear to be the originals. The outsoles show adequate heel drag from court use. Most of the pinkish foam cushioning material has crumbled from the midsoles but the rubber outsoles remain firmly attached towards the front. The Lakers color design features "Magic" stamped six times on each shoe including the tongue inner and outer ankles and even the very bottom. Size 14 flag tags in each shoe read "SAMPLE" and 'MADE IN KOREA". A performance message from Converse is printed under the tongue. Magic has autographed each shoe on the outer lower heel/ankle area in bold 9/10 blue ballpoint pen.

Autographs pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
