The 1989 All-Star Game was one of the most thrilling of the Mid-Summer Classics. The game was the first to feature the Designated Hitter and former President Ronald Reagan joined Vin Scully in the broadcast booth to do a little play-by-play in the first inning. The game began with the NL scoring twice off Dave Stewart. Royals sensation Bo Jackson fought back by clubbing a monstrous home run to lead off the bottom of the first followed by another hit later in the game. The American League won, 5-3, and Bo Jackson was crowned the game’s MVP. This full, unused ticket to the ’89 All-Star Game is signed by MVP Bo Jackson in bold silver ink. The ticket shows some wear with paper loss around the perforated areas and toning throughout, but Bo’s signature remains clear and bright against the twilight view of Angel Stadium. The ticket has been encapsulated and graded AUTHENTIC by PSA while the signature is graded a perfect 10.
