The 40th All-Star Game was played on July 23, 1969, at RFK Stadium in Washington. Unlike the previous year’s game, which ended in a 1-0 shutout win for the Nationals, the ’69 contest featured much more offensive action. The game’s biggest star was San Francisco’s Willie McCovey who hit two home runs while driving in 3 of the Nationals’ 9 runs. The game’s MVP Willie McCovey has signed the front of this full, unused ticket in bright blue marker. The ticket is in very fine condition and the signature displays nicely against the line drawing of RFK Stadium. The ticket has been encapsulated and graded AUTHENTIC by PSA.
