Jim Rice was wrapping up his Hall of Fame career spent entirely with the Boston Red Sox between 1986-89. He made his final of eight All Star appearances in 1986. That season, he batted .324 with 20 homers and 110 RBI. Rice finished third in AL MVP voting for his efforts. His final three seasons were still more than respectable, as he averaged a .263 batting average for those years.

 

Offered is a Louisville Slugger R206 gamer used by Rice during those last years of his stellar career. The bat has outstanding use and a handle crack. His number 14 is written on the knob in black marker. It originates from the collection of former Red Sox teammate Jerry Remy. PSA/DNA has given the bat a near-perfect GU 9.5. 

Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
