Tim Wallach was a longtime infielder who played 17 years in the big leagues the first 13 of which were spent scooping ground balls for the Montreal Expos. This lot features Wallach’s game worn and signed Expos road jersey from the 1983 season his fourth in the majors. He batted .269 that season with 33 doubles 19 home runs and 70 runs batted in to help the team post a record of 82-80.

The button-down light blue polyester jersey includes proper manufacturer’s tagging on the inside rear collar: Rawlings [size] 44 with washing instructions included. Exhibiting light wear the jersey boasts “29” and “expos” on the front in red tackle twill. The old Expos iconic team logo appears across the left chest area. The back of the jersey shows “WALLACH” arched across the shoulders in red tackle twill sewn directly into the garment with his uniform number “29” positioned just below his name in eight-inch-tall numbers. Blue-and-red elastic trim runs the length of both sides and short sleeves. Wallach has signed the front of the jersey in fine-point blue marker and added the inscription “Best Wishes” just above his signature.
