During his tenure with the Los Angeles Kings from 1979-85 Charlie Simmer played left wing on the "Triple Crown Line" with Marcel Dionne and Dave Taylor one of the most potent and famed forward lines of the era. Despite injuries costing him significant playing time Simmer had back-to-back 56-goal seasons and was further named an NHL First Team All-Star in 1980 and 1981. In the latter season Simmer almost accomplished one of hockey's most difficult feats: scoring 50 goals in 50 games with 50 in 51 games. Simmer's shooting percentage of 32.75 in 1981 was and remains an NHL record. Simmer finished his NHL career with 711 points (342 goals 369 assists) in 712 career games. This is Simmer's 1981 NHL All-Star Game jersey from the Feb. 5 game in Detroit. The white knit shirt has the Cosby manufacturer's label at the collar with Size 52 flag tag and an adjacent wash instructions tag. The famed NHL shield logo appears on the front in orange-on-black-and-white stacked tackle twill. "Simmer" is on the back in black-on-orange tackle twill sewn directly to the jersey and his No. 14 is on the back in orange on black tackle twill. Stripes of alternating black-orange-black accent the sleeves at near the waist with six white tackle twill stars sewn with black stitching three front and three back and one star on each sleeve accent. The famed NHL shield patch in orange and black embroidery appears on each shoulder and NHL "Star" patches in the same configuration appear on the front on the right and left breast. The shirt reveals game use with all elements intact and problem free.

Comes with a copy of a Letter of Authenticity from the Los Angeles Kings and a Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum Collection.
