Butch Goring played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Los Angeles Kings New York Islanders and Boston Bruins scoring 375 goals and 513 assists for 888 points. He recorded only 102 penalty minutes the lowest total in NHL history for a player appearing in more than 1000 games.. He is a four-time Stanley Cup winner with the Islanders. This super jersey is from his next-to-the-last season in Los Angeles before moving eastward all the way to Long Island. The yellow mesh shirt has the W.A. Goodman & Sons Size 46 manufacturer's label at the waist inside back alongside the Vanderburg distributor label; the distinctive Kings crown logo appears on the front in purple gold and white stacked tackle twill. "Goring" is on the back in purple on white tackle twill sewn directly to the shirt and his No. 19 is on the back and on both shoulders in the same configuration. The shirt has purple knit elastic at the waist and at the collar and the accent stripes on each sleeve. Goring has added a black Sharpie autograph above his name on the back. Shirt shows moderate game use with a number of stick marks and a number of team repairs on the front back and one atop his "9" from his number on the back.
Comes with a copy of a Letter of Authenticity from the Los Angeles Kings and a Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum Collection.
