Here then is an handsome 1977-78 gamer from Tom Williams who played for eight years in the NHL in the 1970's most of that with the Los Angeles Kings. The shirt is from Williams' next-to-the-last season in his career when he scored 37 points of his career total of 253. This purple poly mesh shirt from 1977-78 with gold strip knit highlights at the waist collar and sleeves. The shirt has the Goodman & Sons (Size 46) upside-down tag on the inside shirt tail and features the intricately embroidered crown patch at the front of the shirt and gold and white tackle twill letters for his name (sewn directly to the shirt on back) and for his No. 17 on the back and sleeves. The jersey shows game-use including stick marks and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
