Featured here is a Pete Peeters Philadelphia Flyers 1980 game-worn goalie mask. Peeters started his 14-year NHL career in Philadelphia and won the Vezina Trophy in 1982-83 when he posted a record of 40-11 and led the league in just about every statistical category for goaltenders. The Cooper white helmet and white caged mask is the SK 2000 model worn by many goaltenders during the 1980s. Cooper made sure you knew who manufactured it as their brand name is stamped in five different places. The Cooper logo with "SK 2000" appears at the top of the helmet with "Cooper HM 30" across the chin. The Flyers logo decal is stuck on both sides with Peeters' No. 33 decal on the rear. The cage is fully attached in all four places. All interior padding and cloth straps are intact. This design had no chinstrap; just an extra layer of padding for the chin. The mask shows solid game use full of the marks and scratches that come with playing goaltender in the NHL. A rare treat in the hobby for Flyer and hockey collectors!
