Presented here is a rare and historically significant Inter Milan home jersey worn by striker Alessandro Altobelli during the club's 70th Anniversary Exhibition Match against Brazil on April 13, 1978. The short-sleeve jersey is constructed in the iconic black and navy blue vertical stripe pattern associated with F.C. Internazionale, rendered in a fine wool-knit fabric consistent with late 1970s Italian football production.
The jersey features a V-notch collar in black, white ribbed cuff trim on the short sleeves, and a Puma maker's logo embroidered on the chest alongside a single gold star denoting the club's championship pedigree. The reverse displays a bold, applied white felt "#9" numeral — the number carried by Altobelli throughout his celebrated career at San Siro. The jersey presents with expected match use consistent with its age: light fabric softening and minor wear throughout, while retaining good structural integrity.
Altobelli, one of Italy's most lethal strikers of his era, went on to score the decisive third goal for the Azzurri in the 1982 FIFA World Cup Final against West Germany. This jersey comes from the Oscar Collection — personally preserved by Brazilian international Oscar, who participated in this very exhibition — lending extraordinary direct provenance to this exceptional piece of calcio history.
The Oscar Bernardi Collection
This shirt comes from the personal collection of José Oscar Bernardi, better known as Oscar, who played for the Brazil National Team from 1977 to 1986. Included is a letter of provenance signed by Oscar. Most jerseys in the collection were obtained directly through player swaps after competition. Others were acquired via gifts or trade with footballers in Oscar’s wide network of teammates and friends. At age 71, he still resides in Brazil and is ready for his collection to be appreciated by others in the hobby.
