J.C. Martin logged 14 major league seasons with three differentclubs: the Chicago White Sox the New York Mets and the Chicago Cubs.Used mostly as a utility catcher Martin spent the majority of hiscareer with the White Sox (1959 to ’67) but captured a World Series ringwith the "Miracle Mets"in ’69. Offered here is a 1969 World Champion New York “Miracle” Mets lot of four (4) items from the J.C. Martin Collection.
First we have a 1969 New York Mets World Champion team-signed ONL (Giles) NM-MT/MINT baseball with (30) signatures all in uniform blue ballpoint (7-8/10 boldness). Key signatures include: Nolan Ryan (HOF) Yogi Berra (HOF) Tom Seaver (HOF) Tommy Agee J.C. Martin Jerry Koosman and Ed Yost.
Second is a 20th Anniversary signed and framed print of (20) by the 1969 New York Mets. Signatures include: Charles Koosman Gentry DiLauro McAndrew Koonce Taylor Martin Clendenon Cardwell Gaspar Weis Shamsky Kranepool Boswell Garrett Swoboda Agee Jones Grote.
Third is a signed “Big Stick” Adirondack baseball bat with “J.C. Martin” across the barrel in blue sharpie (10/10). Bat has “World Champs 1969 NY Mets” burned onto the barrel. The bat is in MINT condition.
Last we have large bronze coin/medallion with original stand presented to Martin. It reads “World’s Champions of Baseball - 1969” on front and “St. Petersburg FL - Spring Home Of The Champions - Salutes the Mets - March 5 1970”. Comes in Mint condition.
Includes 3 Martin LOA's for each item except the medallion. Autographs pre-certified by PSA/DNA. *Gil Hodges is deemed clubhouse on ball.
