The debut card of Reggie Jackson from Topps condition-sensitive 3rd Series of 1969 is generally considered an icon from the era. This sterling example is one of only 37 examples graded PSA MINT 9 with one graded higher. The physical attributes possessed by this specimen are astounding. The well centered image is vibrant and crystal clear with every surface and edge free of any defects. Its superior condition elements suggest that this gem almost certainly originates from vending.
Reggie Jackson the self-proclaimed "straw that stirred the drink" was a winner wherever he played. The outspoken flamboyant muscular outfielder played in 17 post-season series earning five World Series rings over a 16-year stretch. He won the home run title playing for 3 different teams and provided some of the most dramatic home runs in baseball history. In 21 seasons Jackson played on 11 divisional winners six pennant winners and five World Champions. He has a .357 lifetime World Series average nearly 100 points above his lifetime regular-season average and the best career World Series slugging average at .755. His total of 563 HR was sixth all-time when he retired.
