Due to their extremely low production run All-Star bats are considered one of the true rarities among the game-used bat collecting community. This bat was brandished and signed by Steve Carlton as he earned his lone Mid-Summer Classic win hit and RBI at the 1969 event at Washingtons RFK Stadium. This Hillerich & Bradsby (31.8-oz/35-1/2) W166 white ash weapon was turned by the Kentucky-based lumber giant specifically for the 69 All-Star Game as evidenced by the block-letter barrel stamping reading: ALL STAR GAME “ STEVE CARLTON “ 1969-WASHINGTON. Between that detail and the pronounced center brand Carltons black marker autograph projects (9) strength and clarity. The uncracked item shows appropriate single event use with bat-rack and surface marks. In the top of the third inning Carlton doubled off Blue Moon Odom to drive in Felix Milan and stake himself to an 8-1 lead. Hillerich & Bradsbys factory records indicate that the W166 model was shipped to Carlton for the 1969 All-Star Game but at no other time in his career.

Includes a copy of a signed LOA from Steve Carlton.
