Beautiful 10K yellow gold 1967 Boston Red Sox American League Championship ring given to long time player coach and manager Billy Gardner. In 1967 Gardner was a minor league manager in the Boston Red Sox organization after being their 3rd base coach the previous 2 years. The 1967 Red Sox one of the most popular Boston teams ever won a hard fought 5 team battle for first place to finish 1 game ahead of both the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins to advance to the World Series. Hall of Fame right fielder Carl Yastrzemski won the Triple Crown and Jim Lonborg won 22 games to lead Boston. In the World Series the Cardinals triumphed 4-3 with Bob Gibson winning Game 7 his 3rd of the series over Jim Lonborg staring on short rest. Large "B" with 2 red stones in gold on the top surrounded by "Boston Red Sox AL Champions". "1967" with the Red Sox logo on one side and "GARDNER" over a crossed bats ball in glove design. "Balfour 10K" stamped on the inside. Ring size 12.
