Manny Mota began his illustrious 20-year MLB career in 1962 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Hitting an impressive .304 for his career, Mota also tacked on 1149 hits and 438 RBIs, known for his prowess as a pinch hitter. Mota played for the Pirates for the first seven years of his career.

This lot offers an iconic cut-off Pittsburgh Pirates jersey from the 1968 MLB season. "PIRATES" reads across the chest along with "15" on the left portion of the jersey. Proper Rawlings size 42 tagging is affixed on the lower lefthand side along with "MOTA" in black thread. A tag below reads "SET 1, 1968", denoting the year. The rear of the jersey remains simple with a large "15" present across the middle.

Mota also autographed the jersey in blue permanent marker on the collar, adding to the uniqueness of this example. The autograph has been certified by PSA/DNA.
